From start to finish, the experience buying a barrel sauna from Rico at SDS was a delight. Their showroom in North Sydney (a little hard to find) is beautiful and they have a full range on display. Rico took me through all the options and threw in a couple of gifts (not expected, much appreciated). He then coordinated the install at my home in Kangaroo Valley. The crew who arrived had an unusual site on which to build it – nestled on a recently built platform in the rainforest that wraps around my house. The experience of taking a sauna every morning is one I cherish and I cannot recommend Rico and his team enough.

The communication with the company and especially with James has been fantastic. Very responsive both on emails and phone calls. We were on a tight schedule with regards to delivery of our barrel sauna and he was able to make it happen. I assembled the sauna myself – kudos for how well the crate was packed and for the manuals that came with it. A DIY assembly is certainly doable!

Obviously when you’re steaming yourself in what’s like a cooker, essentially, you want the best materials. And so finding fake alternative materials, was never going to be a consideration for me.

James and SDS were fantastic. We embarked on a DIY sauna build with no idea! James took us through the options and helped us select not on the right heater but accessories needed. They took additional calls from me as I fumbled my way through the build and we ended up with a 5 star service and a great sauna. HUUM 13KW wood heater. Takes 30 min to get to heat and sits comfortably at 80c with 10% humidity.

Excellent! Went above and beyond to help complete our sauna project. The after sales support in particular was outstanding. Can highly recommend SDS Australia. Will be using them on our future projects which we have coming up.

I have a mobile sauna set up in the SW of WA and just upgraded to a 3m Halo Comfort barrel sauna from SDS. They also supplied a Harvia Legend 150 wood burning heater with aspen safety rails. Everybody LOVES it! It’s stunning and provides amazing Loyly. I’ve bought several saunas from SDS and they are hands down the best quality and value in Australia. Their staff are always there to help and offer fantastic after sales service. I can’t recommend them enough.

Unbelievable customer service. Desperately needed to fix a sauna fault before our opening day on Sunday.
